Black and Blue

Knowing that the room that I am sitting in contains 843 books on economic history means that my procrastination has reached a whole new level. Instead of trying to learn the dates and names of the authors I have decided to share another song.

Today’s song is by Miike Snow, but back in his indie-folk days before he teamed up with the Swedish electro producers. This song climbed to no.65 in the UK charts at its peak back in 2009. I have uploaded the video as it is a rather cool video  to watch, and will provide you with an extra few minutes of procrastination (which clearly you are doing now as otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this). Miike Snow in on the verge of selling his soul to the Now Brand of CD’s which will be played in the background at my brother’s 10th birthday party.

There are still some elements of the original indie-folk genre mixed in with computer produced beats  in his new music. There have been many remixes of the song posted around other blogs, Soundcloud and Youtube, but none will ever rival the original. I can imagine this song being great as an alarm, giving you a calm but upbeat vibe to your day.  The song is called ‘Black and Blue.’ Enjoy.

Thank you for reading and please stay tuned for the next bout of procrastination fodder.
